How to use Trade Winds Studios Connect - for Volunteers and Managers


Notifications

We want to notify you when and as you want it. And to never send you notifications you do not want (SPAM). So we set this up for you to decide when we notify you.

You have 4 settings in your account profile. Set each of these to your preferences:

  • Task Reminders - Setting this you will be notified of changes in the task date, time, and/or location (if any). You will also get 2 reminders before the task starts.
  • New Tasks - Setting this you will receive a confirmation when you sign up for an task. If you are a campaign Admin or Organizer you will receive a notification when a Host or Volunteer creates a task.
  • Newsletter - This will be used, in the future, to send a weekly newsletter telling you of upcoming tasks that match your preferences.
  • Admin Notifications - Admins & Organizers only. This will tell you of issues you need to review.
  • Last minute updates - the campaign can broadcast last minute information. This is not configurable in your profile.

Account Profile settings

In your account profile you can set, for each of the above categories, if you want to receive the notifications. And if you do, if you want to receive email, SMS, or both.

If you have this off for any/all settings, you will not receive the notifications.

Verifying Email & Phone

You must first verify your email and phone. We will not send to an unverified email address or phone number.

STOP

Due to the regulations around SMS, if you reply STOP to a text, then you will receive no further SMS (text) notifications from us. This is a global setting. You then need to text START to turn SMS back on.

This overrides everything. If you have a validated phone number and you have set your profile to receive SMS updates, if you sent STOP you will not receive notifications - from anyone.
